Investment in new CNC machining center for apprenticeship program
As part of its commitment to train technically competent and knowledegable production workers, Manroland Sheetfed recruits around 15 apprentices every September.
As part of the production training program, instructors and trainers alike impart valuable experience on machine use as well as the latest printing technology.
Now Manroland Sheetfed has just made the learning experience even more comprehensive and enjoyable for the apprentices by investing in a new CNC machining center at its training facility in Offenbach/Mühlheim, Rafael Peñuela, Chief Executive Officer of Manroland Sheetfed, and Dr. Oliver Sticht, Head of Human Resources, see education as an important part of the company’s future; the decision to invest 70,000 euros in a new CNC machining center "was easy" Mr. Peñuela said.
Apprentices now have the opportunity to learn all the latest developments in the field of “Zerspanungsmechanik” (cutting machine operator) preparing them for a long and rewarding future with Manroland Sheetfed.
Mr. Matthias Derzbach, Head of Apprenticeship Programs, said installing a machining center "is essential for the company´s production of high-tech printing machines and continuous technological evolution". Thanks to the new HURCO VMX10 CAD machining center, current and new apprentices at Manroland Sheetfed will not only have the best training available but the practical experience to help secure long term employment.
15 or more apprentices join Manroland Sheetfed every summer. Pictured are the 2015 recruits with Manroland Sheetfed shareholder, Mr Tony Langley, Chairman, Langley Holdings plc.
