The ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION one year on..
On the first anniversary of its launch, Crista Baxter reports on Manroland Sheetfed's latest trailblazer, the ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION.
Manroland’s ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION press has had an outstanding first year, with healthy orders from around the world, rounded off with the award of the coveted Red Dot for Product Design. This award, recognised as the Oscar of the design industry, rewards outstanding creativity, innovation and originality.
Far exceeding original expectations, the EVOLUTION has seen presses supplied to key markets in packaging and commercial printing with a high number of ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION projects in Germany, North America, Japan and Brazil, including several perfecting presses.
When prestigious Austrian print house Samson Druck GmbH installed the very first ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION in October 2014, they found it performed so well that they ordered a second ten-color EVOLUTION press soon afterwards. With more than 30 printing units, Samson Druck is responsible for printing over 5000 tonnes of paper in its 6000m2 production facility. Gerhard Aichhorn, the company’s Owner and General Manager said: “We have proven that Manroland Sheetfed guarantees the highest quality in our daily business.”
