New Managing Director for Manroland South Africa

Offenbach 4 October manroland sheetfed announced today that George Fischer is the new managing director of manroland in South Africa after taking the helm from Frank van Dijk.

Frank van Dijk worked diligently since 2009 to help establish manroland South Africa and due to recent health concerns and a desire to spend more time with his family, he has taken on a new role as Consultant, working with selected clients in South Africa and Europe.

Fischer comments, "We have a strong team, a strong product portfolio and a strong parent in Langley Holdings. manroland South Africa holds exclusive agreements with both manroland sheetfed and manroland web systems as well as relationships with industry leading companies such as Quadtech, Mabeg, Westland and Rima Systems. Our established networks in the used equipment market give us an additional opportunity to provide affordable, high quality printing systems to our customers. We look forward to building on the foundation we have created with Frank, and to continue our successful partnerships with our clients over the lifecycle of their equipment."

Fischer came to South Africa in 2009 to establish manroland South Africa and has worked with manroland since 2002 in a wide variety of roles in the USA, Germany and South Africa. Prior to manroland, he worked as an investment banker advising clients in capital-intensive industries such as precision manufacturing and financial services. He has an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from Wabash College.

During his spare time Fischer enjoys, motorcycles, playing chess, sport and literature.
