New Managing Director appointed at Manroland France SAS

January 6, 2014 (Offenbach). Manroland Sheetfed GmbH announced today Mr. Jacques Thimon has been appointed Managing Director of its French subsidiary, Manroland France SAS effective from January 1, 2014 to succeed Mr. Jean-Pierre Mereau who stepped down at the end of last year.

French born, and married with two children, Mr. Thimon (49) was previously with the ARO Welding Technologies Group, headquartered near Le Mans France, which was acquired by Langley Holdings in December 2006. During his 22-years at ARO he held various senior international sales until taking over as Managing Director of ARO China in 2008 where he successfully built up the Chinese resistance welding business.  In September 2013 he took on a new challenge to head the sales operation at Manroland France.

Mr Thimon holds Masters degrees in mechanical engineering and international business administration, and speaks English, German, Swedish and basic Mandarin Chinese.

Rafael Penuela, CEO Manroland Sheetfed GmbH, congratulated Mr. Thimon on his new role and thanked Langley veteran, Mr. Mereau, for his significant contribution in the restructuring of the French subsidiary. Mr. Mereau, who was the former head of the ARO Welding Technologies Group, retired from ARO in December 2011 and was brought in by Langley to head Manroland France in 2012.
