Manroland Sheetfed plant hosts 2,500 on special day

On 15 March, 2014, the manufacturing plant of Manroland Sheetfed GmbH played host to a hugely successful and enjoyable Family Day for all of the company’s employees and their families, with over 2,500 people in attendance.

On this special day, the whole of the manufacturing plant, with an area of approximately 95,000 square metres (including the foundry, production halls, electronics assembly, machine assembly lines and the Print technology Center) was open to all.

The day was an opportunity for employees to let their families see their workplace at first hand and allow them to understand their work there more closely.

Franz Vogel, a long time employee at the foundry who attended the day with his 12 year old son Moritz, said: “Our factory was built to the highest standards of mechanical construction. Only a few manufacturers in Germany and Japan are able to meet the required precision for the press’ performance. We, Manroland Sheetfed, have been doing this for 143 years.”

Mr Rafael Penuela, CEO of Manroland Sheetfed said: “This Family Day gives us a very good opportunity to show our heartfelt gratitude to our employees who have made a significant contribution to the success of our company.

“At the same time, we want to show our employees the positive changes in the company that we have made together in the last two years. Today, it is just like a big family union day, especially when so many children of our employees participated, which also manifests the loving family culture of our company.”

Over 2,500 visitors have been registered on the Family Day on March 15, 2014.
