New inkjet sheet numbering device has the mark of a winner

In today’s printing industry, particularly in the packaging printing sector, print companies are looking at personalization solutions to satisfy their customers’ requirements. Number coding, for example, is becoming as important as print quality and productivity.

To meet this demand, Manroland Sheetfed has teamed up with REA JET – the renowned German industrial marking and coding device manufacturer, resulting in the launch of a new inkjet sheet numbering device, set at the suction tapes feed board.

With the new inkjet sheet numbering device, each single sheet can be printed with its own unique number or marks. Working in conjunction with the InlineInspector 2.0, it records the sheet number and highlights any problems in the defect protocol (instead of the tab insert). Defective sheets can then be easily separated and errors accurately identified. As well as reducing the amount of waste and production cost, product quality and productivity is increased.

The collaboration has already produced positive effects. A well-known German print company will be the first customer to install this innovative new inkjet sheet numbering device in December.
