Has there ever been a better time to invest in the world's most technologically advanced press? We don't think so. Here's why.
In more years than we can remember (and that's a lot of years), never has there been such an alignment of factors that make such compelling sense to invest in your next Manroland press, right now. A Perfect Storm, if you will.
1. The pound sterling is currently stronger against the euro than at almost any time in over a decade. The price you will pay for a new press at today's rate is around 30% less than when the pound dropped to almost parity with the euro in January 2009. How long will the exceptionally strong pound / weak euro last? No-one knows, but for sure not indefinitely and seven years of essentially a one-way trend is a long while.
2. The UK economy is picking up. QE measures and record low interest rates introduced by the Bank of England post financial crisis have finally translated into sustainable economic growth for our country. Looking forward, the political outlook is stable and business-friendly. The UK, like in so many things, is currently showing the world that strong fiscal management has lead us out of recession and for sure there are signs that print is picking up right along with it.
3. Interest rates are at historically low levels. But for how much longer? Again, no-one can be sure, but across the pond the Fed's pre-Christmas hike in US rates can't be ignored. They were first to tank interest rates, the UK followed. A sign of things to come? We think so, money is still relatively cheap and credit easier than in the dark days of the financial crisis, but we believe that the era of ultra low interest rates in our country is over and the cost of money will only increase. Secure that loan today, it's a brave man that bets against a rate rise in the coming months.
4. Press prices have hardly increased in euro terms since the financial crisis - yet. Demand for presses dropped off a cliff then and the big three German press builders were left struggling with over capacity. We all know what happens when supply exceeds demand and sure enough, press prices have fallen in real terms. That can't last for ever either. With wage increases in Germany (the so-called Tariff rate which all three builders are locked into) rising at over 3% per year over several years now and the other press builders finally aligning supply with demand, the price of a new press is only set to go one way. Up! Get a quote now and we'll stand by it for an order placed until 31 March.
5. Finally, Manroland's latest flagship of innovation, the ROLAND 700 Evolution, is tried and tested in the field. It's been well over a year since the latest incarnation of our legendary press was launched and any bugs (of which there were actually very few) are well and truly ironed out.
So, that's why we think the time to invest is right now. Contact us today and arrange a visit to specify your investment in the world's most technologically advanced press.
Wishing you a prosperous 2016.
