Shorter make-ready time give Cartotecnica Jesina an edge
SPL technology a key factor in choice of six-color ROLAND 900 6B1
Long established Italian packaging printer Cartotecnica Jesina has added a new six-color ROLAND 900 to the existing ROLAND 900 press in its 10,000 square meter Ancona Province production plant.
With 60 years in the print industry, Cartotecnica Jesina specializes in printed boxes and displays using a wide variety of paper and cardboard types. Production speed is seen as crucial for the company, which has an annual production output of around 100 million boxes. Owner, Mr Renzo Paoletti, said that the new ROLAND 900’s Simultaneous Plate Loading technology would bring an appreciable boost to its overall efficiency in a highly competitive market:
“I wanted to buy this second press for its reliably high print quality. Make-ready time is significantly reduced because SPL makes it possible to combine different stages of preparation at the same time.”
The installation of the new press will also enable Cartotecnica Jesina to become more competitive in the market, giving it the ability to reach consumers in other sectors of the packaging industry.
