Open House for Scandinavian customers at Manroland HQ
Offenbach November 8.
Manroland Scandinavia invited printers from Sweden and Finland to an Open House at the Manroland Sheetfed Print Technology Center in Offenbach.
The guests, from the Commercial and Folding Carton sectors, witnessed the very latest press updates which included how to reduce make ready times by using simultaneous make ready processes, reduce waste and LED-UV Technology.
During a demonstration on the ROLAND 708 P 4/4 EVOLUTION, equipped with DirectDrive, Inline ColorPilot and LED-UV, the audience could experience how several jobs can be printed simulanteously, without manual interference by using Manroland's “QuickChange Job plus” technology.
As well as the Autoprint functionality the visitors found out more on Coating PPL which is a new feature for faster changing coating plates.
Together with the Simultaneous Plate Loading system (SPL) make ready times are reduced to a minimum. These features were demonstrated during a folding carton session on a ROLAND 706 LVV EVOLUTION.
The visitors were impressed at how fast the change from UV-inks and coatings to conventional inks and water base coating was possible. By using a color separation for 6 colors instead of 4 colors an extended gamut printing was demonstrated in order to avoid the washing time for special colors.
